Christian afirmaba ser una descendiente direuta de Fletcher Christian, el líder del motín de la Bounty, y unu de los fundadores de la ocupación de la islla Pitcairn.[8] N'agostu de 2012 Christian foi entrevistada pol Halifax Chronicle Herald, dempués de qu'ella se xunió a la tripulación de voluntarios d'un retruque del orixinal HMS Bounty, construyíu por MGM pa una película sobre'l motín.
