Desenvolvióse como una ciudá industrial con funciones alministratives al rematar la [[Segunda Guerra Mundial]]. El 12 de payares de 1947, la ciudá foi prindada poles fuerces comunistes y llamóse-y '''Shimén''' (石門), darréu repunxo'l nome de Shijiazhuang.
 
El 29 de xineru de 1968 la capital de la provincia de Hebei, [[Báoding]] treslladar a Shijiazhuang.
