El so poblamientu, ye'l típicu de los valles de monte, con pequeños núcleosnucleos de población, alcontrándose la mayor concentración na Vega del Nalón. Pero esta población tien una cadarma peravieyada, yá que les persones mayores de 60 años son una tercera parte de la población y les menores de 20 años nun lleguen nin al 21% de la población total del conceyu. Poro, espérase que nos prósimos años la so despoblación xorreza.
