Enantes foi profesora de Socioloxía na Escuela d'Investigación de Ciencies Sociales, Universidá Nacional Australiana.[8] Foi profesora visitante na Lehman Brothers Centre for Women in Business na London Business School, y na Oxford Internet Institute. Tuvo primeramente puestos en Cambridge, Edimburgu, Manchester, Sidney, Tokiu, Viena, Zúrich y Warwick. Tamién foi miembru visitante en All Souls College.[9] Y foi la primer muyer na St. John's College, Cambridge (investigador becaria Norman Laski 1978–80).[10]

Foi presidenta, de 2010 a 2011 de la Sociedá d'Estudios Sociales de Ciencia,[11] ya inda s'atopa nel so Comité de Manuales.[12]

Wajcman ye probablemente bien conocida, pol so analís de la naturaleza de xéneru na teunoloxía.[13] Foi una de les primeres collaboradores de los estudios sociales de la teunoloxía, según a los estudios de xéneru, el trabayu y les organizaciones.[14][15]
