Biografía

Única fía de Tom y Estelle Eggleston, Stevens nació na llocalidá de Yazoo City (Mississippi) anque delles fontes indiquen equivocadamente a l'aldega Hot Coffee como'l so llugar de nacencia, pero tratar d'un trucu publicitariu.

Casóse col lletricista Noble Herman Stephens el 1 d'avientu de 1954, probablemente en Memphis, Tennessee. Del matrimoniu nació l'únicu fíu de l'actriz, l'actor y productor Andrew Stevens. Divorciáronse trés años más tarde, anque ella retuvo una variante del apellíu del so maríu como nome profesional. Convertir en suegra de l'actriz Kate Jackson. Tien trés nietos.

A lo llargo de la so carrera, apaeció en docenes de programes de televisión, señaladamente na temporada 1981-1982 de la serie Flamingo Road. Acomuñar cola finada Sandy Dennis nuna producción empobinada pa muyeres de La estraña pareya, de Neil Simon, faciendo'l papel de la degaxada.
