Jonathan Jackson nació n'Orlando, Florida, fíu de Jeanine, mánager d'oficina, y Ricky Lee Jackson, médicu de familia, músicu country, y candidatu del Congresu nel Estáu de Washington.[2][3] Jackson foi criáu en Washington. Tien dos hermanos. El so hermanu mayor, Richard Lee Jackson, ye actor y batería de la so banda, Enation. La so hermana mayor, Candice, ye abogada y autora.
