Vida y carrera editar
Birdsong nació en Long Beach Island, Nueva Jersey, una de cinco hermanes. Interpretó'l papel de "Kai Mitchell", xunto a George Clooney na película d'Alexander Payne The Descendants. Ye meyor conocida pol so papel como diputada Cherisha Kimball na serie de Comedy Central Reno 911!. Tamién ye conocida pola so imitación de Judy Garland. Ye una ex corresponsal de The Daily Show y Crossballs. Como actriz de voz, apaeció en series d'animación como Stroker and Hoop y Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, según el videoxuegu más vendíu Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Ye llectora de la versión en audiollibru del llibru de 2007 de Bridie Clark, Because She Can. Canta nes bandes de rock Cottonhead y 99 Cent Whore.

Dende xunetu 2006 hasta xineru 2007, Birdsong actúo na comedia musical Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, xunto a Martin Short, Marc Shaiman, Nicole Parker, Brooks Ashmanskas y Capathia Jenkins. En 2007, ganó un Premiu Theater World pola so actuación. El 29 de xineru de 2008, Birdsong xunir al repartu del musical de Broadway, Hairspray. Interpretó'l papel de Velma Von Tussle, la intolerante, madre agresiva de teatru y productora de televisión. Birdsong abandonó la producción el 6 d'abril de 2008. Depués, interpretó'l so espectáculu d'una muyer 3 Days in the Tub: A Mama Drama en Los Angeles nel Comedy Central Stage (setiembre de 2010) y la Fake Gallery (payares de 2010) y en Nueva York nel Joe's Pub (xineru de 2011),[ensin referencies] enantes de dir a San Francisco pa interpretar a Mona Ramsey na adautación de ACT de Tales of the City d'Armistead Maupin.
Mary, xunto col autor Justin Halpern (Shit My Dad Says) y la comediante Jen Kober (American Reunion), actuaron como miembru del repartu de mayu 2012 de Don't Tell My Mother! (Live Storytelling), un escaparate comedia basada en Los Angeles.[3]
