El mabea nana o mabea de Java[2] (Microcarbo niger) ye una especie asiática d'ave pelecaniforme de la familia del mabea, estendida dende Paquistán hasta China, Filipines ya Indonesia.

Descripción editar
Mide 50 cm de llargor. El plumaxe ye negru brillante con delles manches blanques. Presenta una cresta curtia na parte posterior de la cabeza. Los machos tienden a ser más grandes.[3]

Esta especie foi clasificada por dellos espertos dientro del xéneru Phalacrocorax, pero, acordies colos analises d'ADN,[4][5][6][7] foi incluyida dientro del xéneru Microcarbo.
