Edward Wilmot Blyden (3 d'agostu de 1832, Saint Thomas – 7 de febreru de 1912, Freetown)} profesor y estadista, ta consideráu como'l principal precursor del panafricanismu.

En 1850 treslladar a Estaos Xuníos onde entró na universidá, siendo darréu espulsáu por cuenta del so color. En 1851 treslladar a Liberia, onde en 1885 foi candidatu a presidente. Darréu treslladóse a Sierra Lleona onde morrió en 1912.
