Primeros años
editarMol nació en Deep River, Connecticut, fía d'una artista y profesora y un profesor de secundaria.[3] Asistió a la secundaria col actor Peter Lockyer, con quien actuó en musicales y obres del institutu. El so hermanu, Jim Mol, ye direutor y montajista de cine. Asistió a American Musical and Dramatic Academy y graduóse nel William Esper Studio. Dempués d'una temporada teatral de branu en Vermont, consiguió un trabayu como acomodadora nun cine, el Angelika Film Center, onde trabayó mientres un tiempu. Vivía nun apartamentu en Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, cuando un buscatalentos reparar trabayando como encargada del armariu nel restorán Michael's de Nueva York.[4]
