True Boardman

True Boardman (21 d'abril de 1882, Oakland – 28 de setiembre de 1918, Los Angeles) foi un actor, actor de cine y actor de teatru d'Estaos Xuníos. Tuvo activu na dómina del cine mudu. A lo llargo de la so trayeutoria actuó en más de 130 producciones estrenaes ente 1911 y 1919, enantes de finar víctima de la pandemia de gripe de 1918.

El so nome completu yera William True Boardman, y nació n'Oakland, California, siendo la so madre l'actriz Caro True Boardman,True Boardman empecipióse como actor teatral en 1900 en Oakland, actuando dempués mientres un tiempu en Seattle, enantes de dedicase a la so actividá cinematográfica.

Tuvo casáu cola actriz Virginia True Boardman (Margaret Shields) , y foi'l padre de True Eames Boardman (1909–2003), que tuvo una llarga carrera como guionista radiofónicu, cinematográficu y televisivu.

True Boardman finó en 1918, a los 36 años d'edá, en Los Angeles, California, por causa de la pandemia de gripe de 1918. Foi soterráu nel Campusantu Forest Lawn Memorial Park de Glendale (California). El so últimu filme, estrenáu a títulu póstumu en febreru de 1919, Terror of the Range, yera un serial del xéneru western nel que tamién actuaben Betty Compson y George Larkin.

Boardman foi'l bisagüelu de l'actriz Lisa Gerritsen.
