editarTa casáu con Elsie Rodríguez dende 1995 y son padres de dos homes: Giancarlo Rodríguez y Elijah Rodriguez. El so fíu mayor Giancarlo trabayó con él na serie Six Feet Under al interpretar a Julio Diaz el fíu mayor de Federico "Ricu" Diaz nes 5 temporaes de la serie. Participó apocayá nel videu Into the night, del grupu Santana, xunto a Dania Ramírez; y tamién nel videu del tercer single de la cantante Fergie, Glamorous.
