Estudió Ciencies Biolóxiques na Universidá de Barcelona, onde llogró la so llicenciatura nel añu 1984 y el doctoráu en 1992.

Dende 2009, ye Funcionaria de Carrera de la Escala d'Investigadores Científicos del CSIC, desenvolviendo actividaes académiques y científiques nel Llaboratoriu de Biosistemática y Sistemática Molecular, del Institutu Botánicu de Barcelona.
