Biografía

En 1970, llogró'l diploma de ciencies biolóxiques pola Universidá de São Paulo. En 1974, empuesta pol Dr. Eurico Cabral de Oliveira (1940) completó la so maestría en bioloxía, pola Universidá de São Paulo, defendiendo la tesis Estrutura y reprodução de Lomentaria rawitscheri (Rodophyta, Rhodymeniales). Darréu, en 1978, llogró'l Ph.D. en ciencies naturales (énfasis en botánica) pola mesma casa d'estudios.

Dende 1971, desenvuelve actividaes académiques y científiques, como profesora ya investigadora científica nel Institutu de Botánica, de la Universidá de São Paulo. Anguaño ye profesora, ms-6 na Universidá Estatal de Campinas. Tien esperiencia en botánica, con énfasis en bioloxía de la polinización, actuando sobre polinización, colibríes, esperteyos, abeyes y selva tropical.

Nel periodu ente 1983 a 1984, realizó'l posdoctorado, pola Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz, con una beca de la Alexander Von Humboldt Stiftung.

Ye autora na identificación y nomamientu de nueves especies pa la ciencia, a abril de 2015, d'un nuevu rexistru d'especies, especialmente de la familia Fabaceae, y n'especial del xéneru Mucuna (vease más embaxo'l venceyu a IPNI).
