Amy Elizabeth Adams (28 de marzu de 1892, Municipio de Knowlton (es)

Nació en Delaware, New Jersey y estudió bioloxía en Mount Holyoke College y na Universidá de Chicago, llicenciándose en 1914 y 1916. Llogró'l grau de Master pola Universidá de Columbia en 1919 y un doctoráu pola Universidá de Yale en 1926. Tamién estudió de 1930 a 1931 na Universidá d'Edimburgu.[2]
En 1919, Adams empezó la so carrera n’Holyoke, onde pasó tola so vida profesional. En 1928, foi nomada profesora titular.[1] Enseñó embrioloxía y xenética ya investigó temes rellacionaes: endocrinoloxía y embrioloxía esperimentales del sistema reproductivu. Los sos estudios del sistema reproductivu fueron pioneros. Los sos estudios fueron financiaos por una variedá d'organizaciones, una rareza pa les muyeres universitaries, mientres la so carrera, y una rareza pa cualquier científicu mientres la Gran Depresión. Retirar en 1957 y finó en 1962 en Hadley del Sur, Massachusetts.[2]
