Aechmea distichantha

Aechmea distichantha (caraguatá, planta vasu, cardu chuza) ye una bromeliácea típica del Cerrado en Brasil, nativa del norte d'Arxentina, Paraguái, Uruguái. Ye frecuentemente usada como ornamental. El ganáu come la inflorescencia y el raigañu.[1]

Descripción editar

Tien vezos terrestre, pudiendo ser una epífita facultativa. Tien usu facultativu en medicina natural, actuando nos chacras 3° y 4° [2]

Aechmea distichantha describióse por Charles Antoine Lemaire y espublizóse en Jardin Fleuriste 3: t. 269, f. 1853.[2]

Etimoloxía

Aechmea: nome xenéricu que remanez del griegu akme ("punta"), n'alusión a los picos ríxidos colos que ta forníu la mota.
