Hamamelidae ye un taxón de la categoría subclase, perteneciente a les dicotiledónees, qu'arrexuntaba a plantes que la so carauterística principal yera que teníen flores polinizadas por vientu (anemófilas) usualmente arrexuntaes en amentos. El taxón foi utilizáu por Cronquist y otros sistemes de clasificación por un tiempu (ver Cronquist 1981,[1] 1988,[2] Takhtajan 1980[3] que lo escribe correutamente como Hamamelididae.[n. 1] Numberoses llinies d'evidencia amuesen qu'esti taxón nun ye monofilético. En clasificaciones modernes como'l sistema de clasificación APG III (2009)[4] y el APWeb (2001 d'equí p'arriba[5]), el taxón foi abandonáu.

Historia del taxón editar

Los sos oríxenes históricos pueden remontase a los tiempos pre-Linneanos, onde yá se proponía la esistencia d'un taxón "amentífero" (tamién llamáu dacuando Amentiferae, ver el resume históricu en Stern 1973[6]), magar nesa dómina, antes de la irrupción de la teoría de la evolución, nun se pensaba a los taxones como un reflexu de la filoxenia de los organismos. La so circunscripción (esto ye, de qué subtaxones ta compuestu'l taxón) foi variando colos sistemes de clasificación, de los cualos el más recordáu ye el de Cronquist (Cronquist 1981,[1] 1988,[2] ver circunscripción en seición Taxonomía). Finalmente'l conceutu d'un taxón de plantes amentíferas de categoría tan alta foi abandonáu en sistemes de clasificación actuales (como APG,[7] APG II,[8] APG III,[4] APWeb[5]), por cuenta de que nun se recuperó un taxón monofilético que respuenda a los sos calteres.

Nesta subclase arrexuntaben delles families con flores pequeñes y xeneralmente ensin perianto o con perianto apétalo, polinizadas por vientu (anemofilia), usualmente arrexuntaes n'inflorescencies llamaes amento.

Fueyes simples o, más raramente, pinnadas o palmetaes. Sépalos, cuando presentes, usualmente pequeños y escuamiformes. Nes poques especies que tienen pétalos, éstos son llibres, pequeños, xeneralmente inconspicuos. Androcéu formáu por (1)2-dellos estambres, que pueden aportar a numberosos. El conectivo puede tar enllargáu, pero nunca ye llaminar. El polen ye binucleado o trinucleado y presenta (2)3-munches apertures. El xinecéu consta de 1-dellos carpelos que suelen tar soldaos nun ovariu compuestu. Los primordios seminales pueden ser anátropos o ortótropos, más o menos claramente crasinucelados.

Numberoses llinies d'evidencia amuesen qu'esta subclase nun ye monofilética (Thorne 1973a,[9] Donoghue y Doyle 1989,[10] Wolfe 1989,[11] Crane y Blackmore 1989,[12] Hufford y Crane 1989,[13] Hufford 1992,[14] Chase et al. 1993,[15] Manes et al. 1993[16]).

Delles families que s'habíen consideráu hamamélidas, como Platanaceae, Trochodendraceae y Buxaceae, son llinaxes que diverxeron tempranamente de les eudicotiledóneas. Tamién rellacionaes con Platanaceae sobremanera, probablemente tean Proteaceae y Nelumbonaceae (los trés families güei consideraes Proteales, ver sistema de clasificación APG II). Tanto los analises morfolóxicos como los d'ADN (nes secuencies rbcL, atpB, ADNr 18S) sofiten l'allugamientu d'estes families como eudicotiledóneas basales, y tamién la formación del clado Proteales como formáu por Platanaceae + Proteaceae + Nelumbonaceae (APG 1998,[7] 2003,[8] Chase et al. 1993,[15] Hufford 1992,[14] Manes et al. 1993,[16] Soltis et al. 1997,[17] 2000[18]).

Hamamelidaceae y Cercidiphyllaceae en particular, dacuando fueron consideraes emparentaes con Platanaceae (Hufford y Crane 1989,[13] Schwarzwalder y Dilcher 1991,[19] Hufford 1992[14]), pero esti allugamientu nun ye sostenida pol analís de secuencies d'ADN (Chase et al. 1993,[15] Savolainen et al. 2000a,[20]b,[21] Soltis et al. 1997,[17] 2000[18]). La evidencia del ADN sostién que Hamamelidaceae y Cercidiphyllaceae tán emparentaes con Saxifragaceae (les trés güei allugaes nel orde Saxifragales).

Otres families de hamamélidas con flores amenorgaes güei son allugaes en Saxifragales, Fagales o Malpighiales.

Nes clasificaciones modernes como'l sistema de clasificación APG III (2009),[4] el taxón al ser polifilético foi abandonáu, allugándose les families y órdenes que se recuperaron como monofiléticos nel clado Eudicotyledoneae, onde s'alluguen d'esta forma (en negrines les families que pertenecíen a les hamamélidas según Cronquist):

Nucleu de les Eudicotiledóneas (güei Gunneridae, nomáu asina pol APG III[4]) non rósidas nin astéridas:

  • Gunnerales (Gunneraceae y Myrothamnaceae, l'orde ye perteneciente al "nucleu de les eudicotiledóneas" nel APG II[8] y APG III,[4] el APW caltener fora del nucleu pero dende'l 2009 incluyir tamién nel nucleu[5])
  • Saxifragales (Saxifragaceae, Hamamelidaceae, Cercidiphyllaceae, Daphniphyllaceae ente otres)

Rósidas:

  • Fagales (Fagaceae, Betulaceae, Casuarinaceae, Juglandaceae, Myricaceae, Nothofagaceae (en Cronquist incluyíu en Fagaceae), Rhoipteleaceae ente otres)
  • Malpighiales (Malpighiaceae, Balanophaceae, Picrodendraceae ente otres).
  • Sapindales (na familia Simaroubaceae ta allugada la única leitneriácea, Leitneria floridana)
  • Rosales (Rosaceae, toles del antiguu orde Urticales sensu Cronquist: Barbeyaceae, Cannabaceae, Urticaceae qu'inclúi a Cecropiaceae, Moraceae, Ulmaceae, ente otres)

Astéridas:

  • Garryales (Garryaceae, Eucommiaceae ente otres)

Nel sistema de clasificación de Cronquist (1981,[1] 1988[2]) la subclase entendía 11 órdenes, 24 families y 3400 especies. La clasificación sensu Cronquist n'órdenes y families puede vese al esplegar la caxa siguiente.
