June Brown
June Muriel Brown (16 de febreru de 1927, Needham Market – 3 d'abril de 2022, Surrey) foi una actriz británica, más conocida por interpretar a Dot Branning na serie EastEnders.

Biografía
editarJune nació en Suffolk, tien cuatro hermanos, el so hermanu menor morrió de neumonía en 1932 y la so hermana mayor, Marise morrió en 1934 por causa de meninxitis.
Mientres la Segunda Guerra Mundial xunto a la so familia fueron sacupaos a Pontyates, una pequeña villa en Gales, mientres los últimos años de la guerra sirvió nel Wrens (Marina Real).
Ye bien bona amiga de l'actriz Polly Perkins.
En 1950 a los 23 años conoció y casóse col actor John Garley. John sufría de depresión y en 1957 zarrar na casa que compartíen y quitóse la vida.
En 1958 casóse col actor Robert Arnold, la pareya tuvo seis fíos, Louise Arnold (1959), Sophie Arnold (1961), William "Bill" Arnold (1962), Chloe Arnold (1964) y Naomi Arnold (1966). Chloe nació prematura y con paralís y morrió 16 díes dempués. June y Robert tuvieron xuntos por casi cuarenta y cinco años, hasta la muerte de Robert nel 2003 por cuenta de la enfermedá llamada Llocura con Cuerpos de Lewin.
Nel 2008 foi gallardoniada col M.B.E. (Miembru de la Orde del Imperiu Británicu) pol so trabayu nel drama.
Carrera
editarJune apaeció en delles obres de teatru ente elles An Inspector Calls, The Lion in Winter, Calendar Girls, Life Price, The Provok'd Wife, The Rough and Ready Lot, A View from the Bridge, ente otres, tamién apaeció en pantomimes como The Witches.
En 1992 dirixó Double D nel festival d'Edimburgu.
El 4 de xunetu de 1985 xunir al repartu de la esitosa serie británica EastEnders onde interpreta la maternal y fumadora Dorothy "Dot" Colwell-Branning, hasta 1993 dempués de que Dot decidiera camudase col so fíu, Nick Cotton de Waldford. En realidá June comentó que decidiera dise del programa por cuenta de que nun-y taba gustando la direición que taba tomando'l so personaxe. June tornó de nuevu al programa en 1997 onde interpreta a Dot dende entós.[4] Nun especial del programa realizáu nel 2003 llamáu EastEnders: Dot's Story Dot de mozu foi interpretada por Tallulah Pitt-Brown en dellos flashbacks.
N'abril del 2012 anuncióse que June tomaríase un descansu de seis meses de la serie pa escribir la so autobiografía.[5][6]
