Distribución y hábitat editar

Alcuéntrase-y n'Europa, Asia y América del Norte, según en munchos climes templaos. Ye orixinaria de les zones templaes d'Asia y Europa. Crez en llugares húmedos cercanos a montes y corrientes d'agua.

Calteres editar

Ye una planta perenne d'hasta 60 cm d'altor, más o menos pubescente. Tarmu cuadráu de color violáceo d'hasta 50 cm d'altor, anque xeneralmente nun devasen los 30 cm, erecto. Les fueyes algamen 2-5 cm de llargu, son opuestes y daqué dentaes, cuneaes na base, con peciolu d'hasta 4 cm de llargor. Les flores son de color azul violeta que s'arrexunten n'espigues terminales, mota tubular con 5 dientes y un aniellu de pelos nel so interior; corola bilabiada de 13 a 15 mm de llargor, de color violeta azuláu escuru. Frutu constituyíu por 4 nozuques. Floria en primavera y branu.

Hábitat editar

Frecuente nos cantos de corrientes d'agua y en praos húmedos.[1]

Propiedaes melecinales editar

Ye tomáu internamente como un té melecinal pal dolor de gargüelu, fiebre, foria, hemorraxes internes, y pa solliviar dolencies de fégadu y corazón. Per vía tópica, una cataplasma de la planta aplicar a la piel agafada, como la de les toxines de la ortiga. Una cataplasma de tamién sirve bien como axente desinfestante y úsase pa envolubrar firíes n'ausencia d'otros materiales pal cuidu de firíes.[2][3] Foi considerada polos chinos que puede "camudar el cursu d'una enfermedá crónica".[4] Na medicina tradicional austriaca Prunella vulgaris utilizóse internamente como té pal tratamientu de los trestornos de les víes respiratories y les infeiciones.[5]

Química

Constituyentes químicos activos de la planta son el acedu betulínico , D-alcanfor, D -fenchona, cianidina, delfinidina, hiperósido, manganesu, acedu láurico, acedu oleanólico, acedu rosmarínico, acedu mirístico, rutina, acedu linoleico, acedu ursólico, beta-sitosterol, lupeol y taníns.[6][7][8][9]

Estudios in vitro demostraron que tien una aición antibacteriana, al tornar la crecedera de pseudomonas, Bacillus typhi, E. coli, Mycobacterium tuberculi.[10] Tamién s'amuesa prometedor na investigación pal SIDA,[11] y alerxes.[12][13]

Prunella vulgaris describióse por Carlos Linneo y espublizóse en Species Plantarum 600. 1753.[14]
