Forest Whitaker
Forest Steven Whitaker (15 de xunetu de 1961, Longview (es) 
) ye un actor, productor y direutor de cine d'Estaos Xuníos. La so actuación como'l dictador ugandés Idi Amin nel filme The Last King of Scotland valió-y múltiples reconocencies, ente ellos un Óscar, un Globu d'Oru y un Premiu BAFTA. Ye'l quintu afroamericanu que llogra'l Óscar al meyor actor, depués de que lo llograren Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman y Jamie Foxx.
Infancia, mocedá y estudios editar
Whitaker nació en Longview, Texas, los sos padres fueron Forest Whitaker Jr., seguru de vida asegurador y fíu del novelista Forest Whitaker Sr., y Laura Francis Smith, maestra. Forest nació cuando'l so madre cursaba la universidá y llogró dos maestríes mientres criaba a los sos fíos (Forest tien hermanos menores y una hermana mayor). La familia camudar al área de Los Angeles cuando Whitaker yera namái un neñu. Whitaker estudió na secundaria de Palisades, onde foi derribador defensivu nel equipu de fútbol americanu. Whitaker debutó en pantalla na película de 1982 Aquel escitante cursu, xunto con Judge Reinhold, Nicolas Cage, Sean Penn y Phoebe Cates. En 1986 apaeció en The Color of Money, dirixida por Martin Scorsese, y en Platoon, d'Oliver Stone. Al añu siguiente, actuó xunto a Robin Williams na comedia Good Morning, Vietnam.
En 1988 llogró'l papel principal en Bird, dirixida por Clint Eastwood, onde interpretó al músicu Charlie Parker. Como parte de la so preparación, zarrar nun desván con tan solo una cama, un canapé y un saxofón, amás de realizar una investigación bien estensa y tomar lleiciones de saxofón. La so actuación valió-y el premiu al meyor actor nel Festival Internacional de Cine de Cannes y una nominación al Globu d'Oru.
Whitaker siguió trabayando con dellos direutor de cine direutores de sonadía. Neil Jordan dirixir nel papel de "Jody" nel so filme de 1992, Xuegu de llárimes. En 1994 foi parte del repartu de la película de Robert Altman, Prêt-à-porter, que ganó'l primer National Board of Review Award por Meyor Repartu. En 1996, Forest casóse cola actriz Keisha Nash, cola que tuvo dos fíos, llamaes Sonnet y True. Tien un fíu d'una rellación anterior, llamáu Ocean, y una fiyasca, llamada Autumn, d'una rellación anterior de Keisha.

- Foi llamáu pa escribir y dirixir una película d'aición qu'afixera la serie de dibuxos animaos de Bill Cosby El gordu Alberto, pero estremes ente ellos fixeron que Forest abandonara la producción.
- Foi la inspiración del raperu Brother Ali pal cantar Forest Whitaker, del so álbum debú, Shadows on the Sun. Al paecer, el cantar llámase asina pol gran paecíu ente l'actor y el raperu, inda cuando Ali ye albino.
- Carez ptosis palpebral (blefaroptosis) nel güeyu esquierdu. Whitaker declaró que ye hereditariu y que consideró operase pa correxir el problema, non por razones estétiques sinón porque afecta la so visión.
